They couldn’t stop their thoughts for ten seconds even if their life depended on it. It becomes painfully obvious once you start meditating - actually paying attention to what the brain and body are doing moment to moment.
I don’t think I expressed myself well in my initial comment. I’m saying that I have a stream of consciousness that never shuts the fuck up. If you’re telling me that all humans have that same issue and aren’t able to tell, I going to have to strongly disagree.
Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying - but at the same time, I recognize that I only have access to my own stream of consciousness. I couldn’t possibly know for certain what someone else’s subjective experience is like - and neither can you.
