    To be fair, unless you’ve got a fair system to begin with, raising the minimum wage won’t increase purchasing power anyway. Prices just scale up.

          How does this comment make sense in response to what they’re saying? If you live in the US, minimum wage, if it was linked to productivity, should be $25.52 in 2023

          Since that isn’t the case, why would you be able to say that the person you’re replying to stating that increasing the minimum wage would change something (instead of needing to change everything first, like you’re advocating) have any bearing on our current reality? Your current living conditions is not an argument for changing the minimum wage having no impact on people’s lives.

            What I’m implying is that any small figure would not be enough, I’m an Australian and not that far from minimum wage.

            I’ve seen it in my unfortunately reality, more money just means more money for those owning us.
