    Three thoughts:

    • A 3-4 point “slim” lead is absurd as we watch Trump light the country, our savings, and future generations’ financial stability on fire.
    • I don’t pretend to know what will happen this fall but “disappointed” seems like the correct left-leaning calibration since 2016.
    • I am so sick of right-biased political minority rule in this country. Since 2000 have we at any time had a presidency, senate, and House that were all controlled by the party that got the most votes in a given election?

Cue McConnell obstruction bullshit with lazy filibuster. Mere 3 month period over Obamas 8 years where he had a supermajority, and even then Lieberman fucked him.

Even if they have enough Dems in theory then the conservative Democrats have doubts or reservations about voting for something so Manchin or Sinema get in the way. If somehow they get past those ratfuckers then the Parliamentarian can step in to rain on the progressive parade.

The Dems always have something up their sleeve to keep them from doing things they don’t really want to do. I wouldn’t put it past them to get in power and just yell Squirrel as an excuse to not bring in policies that have 80-90% approval across all parties.

If I understand correctly, the republicans won a majority in the last senate, house and presidential elections.
