Why does the Independent call it a prank? It’s legitimate protest and they’re downplaying the seriousness of it by calling it a prank.
Because it’s a Russian propaganda outlet.
The British digital newspaper The Independent was long owned by the Lebedev family. In 2010, it was acquired by Russian businessman Alexander Lebedev and his son Evgeny Lebedev for a nominal £1 after years of financial losses.
