So, Israel shot down an incoming missile while it technically was in space. I can only imagine that this is the start more of headlines like this.
I’m honestly more surprised Hamas has the tech to get a missile up that high for Israel to shoot it down.
They don’t, the Iranians do. They gave the missile systems to the Houthis in Yemen, who use them to launch terror attacks around the area.
Iran basically funds all the name brand terrorist groups.
Probably not even the first time that’s happened
Kinda a clickbait title, still concerning.
What a terrible headline, I didn’t see shit!
Don’t lie, you witnessed!!!
The ballistic missile very likely did not come anywhere close to Earth orbit, so unlike those aforementioned anti-satellite tests, this incident probably didn’t generate any dangerous orbital debris.
Whew?
I don’t know if I interpret that sound correctly, but:
“Earth Orbit” means reaching speed to orbit earth (going around it very fast); not just reaching space (and then dropping down again).
No Kessler Syndrome today
Space battle old news. Show me news of subterranean battle, then I’ll be impressed.
