all depends on flavor and individual. This was the catholic thing and I assume still is. No one can go to heaven if they have sin and christ cleansed the sins of the world by being an uber sacrifice. it gets crazy. you need baptism to get rid of original sin so supposedly in middle or dark ages or whatever if they found a baby abandoned they would baptize it and leave to make sure it would be ok.
How interesting, I figured heaven was in some way believed to be beyond time. There should be no such before and after, unless I am mistaken.
