    I mean, you can, though. Maybe you shouldn’t do it, but that’s only if the negative consequences outweigh the positive.

      I guess I meant ‘can’t’ in the sense of this is something that, if you do it, makes absolutely no sense. But then they don’t live in reality anymore.

        Let’s get to the root of it, though: The goals of the House GOP are not what you would consider to be good goals. Voting for impeachment makes perfect sense if the goal is to de-legitimize the Trump impeachments, make Biden look weak, and score points with a base who doesn’t care about facts so long as they own the libs. None of that aligns with governing or upholding their oath, but that’s not their goal.
