Has something new come along? It’s been so long since I’ve needed to do this that I assume CCleaner has enshittified by now.
minus-squarekakes@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up49·2 years agoHonestly I just run WinDirStat and do it manually.
minus-squareiAmTheTot@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up34·2 years agoWiztree is like a hundred times faster, fyi.
minus-squareivanafterall@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up13·2 years agoHe’s not exaggerating. I didn’t believe it was possible but holy shit so much better.
minus-squareyukichigai@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up8·2 years agoYeah, just grabbed it and gave it a try. Took under 4 seconds to scan the same drive that WinDirStat took a full 3 minutes to scan.
minus-squarekakes@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up1·2 years agoThanks for the heads up, I’ll give it a shot next time!
minus-squareDavel23@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up3·2 years agoI suppose it’s mostly personal preference, but I find SpaceSniffer’s display to be a lot more intuitive.
minus-squaremonsterpiece42@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up7arrow-down1·2 years agoSpacesniffer for me. Also portable. But I’ll check out wiztree for funzies.
minus-squareNoneYa@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up4·2 years agoI did the same because having it be portable is so much better especially when you’re dealing with a system that has no space available to install.
minus-squaresrecko@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up11·2 years agoSpacesniffer is my preferred alternative.
minus-squarebunkyprewster@startrek.websitelinkfedilinkarrow-up5·2 years agoKind of an unsettling name
minus-squareParadachshund@lemmy.todayOPlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·2 years agoI think that’s also in my future, but I liked ccleaner for cleaning up old bits of uninstalled things that didn’t remove themselves cleanly.
minus-squareotter@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·2 years agoRevo for that, but in the moment instead of an afterthought 🤓

This but wiztree instead.
This but SpaceSniffer instead.
May I ask why?
I suppose it’s mostly personal preference, but I find SpaceSniffer’s display to be a lot more intuitive.

No kink shaming.

It’s treesize for me
