The Hamas leaders are all very wealthy and and on’t live in Gaza. Same as the people running the Taliban - they don’t live in Afghanistan. It’s believable that they made money from these nasty acts.

Sounds like wiping out Hamas can’t be accomplished by attacking Gaza, then.

The goal is not wiping out Hamas entirely but removing their strategic capabilities within Gaza.

The IS being active in the middle east isn’t a huge problem for the US but if they had a base in Cuba you’d for sure have the military there removing it asap…

Don’t speak on behalf of other government.

Isreal never said that there goal in Gaza, in fact the opposite, the say the want to destroy gaza completely, and move people to Egypt, and other stuff like kill them and kill their kids…

It is there on tv when they speak…

Netanyahu has made it clear that he intends to pursue attacks against Gaza until Hamas is wiped out.

If Hamas cannot be wiped out by attacking Gaza, the condition for ending the war cannot be met, even if Gaza is reduced to a plain of uninhabited slag.

The purpose of the war in gaza is to get revenge. Its just 2 nations trying to genocide eachother hamas doesnt care about war crimes or the world order israil has to at least pretend to play ball to keep the americans on side.

There are always alternatives. They could call Hamas combat ineffective and declare truece. Tough to do, though as Hamas is still firing rockets on Isreal.

Wiping out Hamas is the current stated goal, not rendering them ineffective. You don’t set a condition you can’t meet if your intention is to stop at some point.

It all depends on your definition of wiping out. I’m sure your not going to get every single one. BTW, Saudi, Jordan and Egypt really want them to wipe them all out. They consider Hamas another Muslim Brotherhood, and don’t give a shit about the Gazians.

Do you suppose Netanyahu will be content with leaving Hamas’ leadership intact?

I think Netanyahu will be content to stay out of jail. He might not get to make that call.

Israel has got, between regular and reserve, about half million troops in the field. It’s GDP isn’t good enough to carry the cost for that for too long. It may be less of a decision than you might think.
