I don’t have trouble with mmo’s usually. But just last year i realised that i don’t know how to play these city building games.
When i was 12 or so my mom bought me anno 1600 or what it was called. It was like meh, i was hoping for quake. I played that game for almost 3 days straight. I absolutely loved it and kept playing.
Last year i asked my friend if he wanted to play the new anno with me. Never played coop, sounds fun. After 2 hours i realised for the first time that usually i just start over at this point. My cities are never sustainable and i just play until it all ges to shit, and starting over is easier than fixing your shit city.
But with him now, i just had to keep going. It was a huge mess.
The jack of all trades. Ride that EXP bar until gaining a level takes twice as long as it used to be to gain 10. Bail. Reroll. Repeat.
It’s why I never made it to ensure game content on any of the MMOs I played. I’d rather just reroll a new class.

Now you both can share what you know with each other, you’re lucky to have someone to work with.
I feel like my game is more like a tech tree…
