“While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change,” said the Vermont Independent. “And they’re right.”

Sigh, this guy is my fucking hero, honestly. Can’t believe Bernie still fights so hard for you guys after you did him so dirty.

Remember, his candidacy was stolen from him by the DNC. If anyone has the right to rail at the DNC it is Bernie.

Where would the working class be right now if he’d been the 2016 guy?

A reminder that the Harris campaign raised a mind-boggling amount of money this election cycle. They significantly outraised the Trump campaign (and lets face it, Trump was likely skimming off the top of whatever his campaign did raise.) What good did it do? Where did it all go?

Right, but with that much money they could have paid for Ubers for all of their missing voters in PA/MI/WI to get to the polls, and possibly nationwide. I thought they said they had a superior GOTV operation. Where did the vote go?

It also turns out, courting your opponents base isn’t as helpful as rallying your own.

No,I reject that argument. It’s not a zero sum game. There is no reason why the Democrats couldn’t be the party for everyone.

There very certainly is, because the Democrats should not be the party for Nazis.

As has been shown this election, the Republican party are Nazis. Trying to influence the mythical “good” Nazis to vote for Harris was a terrible idea to begin with.

At least they were the ones who saw Trump for what he really was, and wanted no part of it. Surely that has to count for something on the scale of 1 to Nazi.

What? They saw his base and said “well we have to capitulate with the extreme right, if we want to win we have to be conservatives.” Well if you wanna be republicans so bad then go fucken register. I’m done with the dems. Signing up for the socialist and arming myself right now. Its over, here comes White Christian Nationalism and all engulfing inequality.

Isn’t an election the definition of a zero sum game? People are either voting for you, your opponents, or not at all.

I remember this being talked about post-2016.

Basically the Democratic Party has a close relationship with their media buyers, who have a close relationship with their contacts in tv and radio station, newspaper and magazine rooms.

They do not want to cut these people loose because their jobs are at stake. Election spending keeps the lights on and keeps them employed.

The GOP shredded their version of those people after 2012 and never looked back.

Oh you sweet summer child. Didn’t you know that the DNC and RNC are private corporations? They don’t have to show you anything and there is nothing you can do about it.

The court recognized that the DNC treated voters unfairly, but ruled that the DNC is a private corporation; therefore, voters cannot protect their rights by turning to the courts:

“To the extent Plaintiffs wish to air their general grievances with the DNC or its candidate selection process, their redress is through the ballot box, the DNC’s internal workings, or their right of free speech — not through the judiciary.”

Talking ideals here not actuals. Ofc they don’t. They should. But they don’t. I’m aware we live in a political duopoly.

Because taking money from corporations and impleneting policies that they dictate, which would lead to continued mass extinctions, doesn’t win elections.
