Summary

A YouGov poll found that 46% of Danes view the US as a major threat, surpassing concerns about North Korea and Iran but trailing Russia (86%).

Additionally, 78% oppose selling Greenland to the US, though 72% believe Greenland should decide its own fate.

The poll follows heightened tensions over Trump’s repeated claims that acquiring Greenland is an “absolute necessity” for US economic security.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has sought European unity in response, warning of shifting relations with the US.

Trump does not want Greenland, never did. He also doesn’t care about the gulf of Mexico or Panama cannel.

It’s just a distraction and negative media overload method that he uses. And you know what, it works. Here we are talking about this and not the serious things.

He has done a lot of stuff that people thought was just talk. It’s easy to sit there and say it’s just talk when it is not about you. But when it is, it just ‘oh well, they should have known because he said so’ from others…

As a European, I would say a US president repeatedly theatening a EU country with invasion is already pretty serious in itself.

Well a question like this wouldn’t be more absurd than most ESTA-Questions?

“Do you question or support attacks on the territorial integrity of the European Union and it’s members”

I traveled to Europe for the first time only a few years ago, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to enter (as an American). The customs officer at Frankfurt didn’t utter a single word to me, just checked my passport and waved me through. Guess I’m too used to American government processes and institutions where efficiency and convenience are low priority for the end user.

The difference between security and security theater.

Americans only do theater. They do actual security in Europe

You don’t need to “own” greenland for that, you could have lighter security like the EU has with say Switzerland.
