Yes probably
Yes probably
It still increase user experience so they would do it if it was easy. Or more like I would like so.
Except if we go full conspiracy theory and maybe they don’t want poor people that won’t buy nitro on the platform, it’s possible.
Community and socials features exist since ages, I don’t think it’s going in a social media direction at all. I’ve never seen anyone using chats seriously for exemple.
But it indeed is getting worse as they add new features which clutter even more the interface. I don’t think the rework is better, but it wasn’t a downgrade either imo.
(I didn’t see the window position and size thing, but closing steam takes 1 more click tho, this suck)
Yes mb
I didn’t know about that, sorry I missed it in you original comment. Then maybe theses frameworks are too young or have some kind of limitation, or just discord did not switch yet, but I hope they do. I know optimisation is not important for most company but if the switch is free they should do it.
It run fine on my 7 years old phone. Sure, native would be better, but electron mean they can make the website, the windows app and the android app all at once. So it’s worth it. Everyone on Lemmy is a programmer, so you should know how hard it is to support multiple version of a service with as much active developpement as discord.
Main function are ok, sure, but Steam still is is inconsistant, the 40 different css for buttons is not just a meme. It improved with the revamp, but that was only a few pages. Take a look at the community, workshop and profile page it’s a mess.
Same as discord it had a lot of feature creep over the years so it’s not easy to understand, but for me it’s worth giving up ease of use for theses features.

I would be in my neighbour bed- probably with her inside too- weird stuff.
It’s not the case as someone already explained, but also, who care about the photo being fake ? People take photos to show to other people and keep a memory, and that photo looking better than reality is usually not an issue. I would still prefer choice with a toggle somewhere, which we will never get with an Apple product.
I never heard of that since I stopped playing asphalt but that seems like something Gameloft would do. Gameloft really fell off, they used to make good games…
But yeah, it can also be used badly, like making the game really easy after a purchase and then slowly go back to difficult. I don’t think I’ve heard of something like that yet, but it probably exist.
This kind of thing definitly exist, usually part of adaptative difficulty where for exemple you get an invisible buff after dying so you feel like you are improving.
But I fail to see that in fortnite since it’s a multiplayer game, only your skill and luck influence the outcome, not playtime. Fortnite isn’t an RPG either (As far as I know), so I guess you meant an other game ?
He did not outright tell that it would be unetical but he implied it.
…gambling lottery… But if I wanted to be ethical
Imply that the roulette part is unethical.
He said he would do it tho, so I guess it’s not unethical enough for him not to do it. Stealing is unethical but yeah, it’s casino, so it’s not that bad.
Yes exactly. And South Park is popular in France too.
I searched Charlie hebdo religion and took the first one so I don’t know, but they have hundreds of similar comic, I don’t think it had anything special.
But no one can critic Charlie Hebdo since the 2012 attack
Charlie Hebdo is a really good exemple. It has caricature of literally everything. From celebrity to religion to politic and whatever politically incorrect joke you can think of. It may looks islamophobic, but it’s against everyone. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did caticature of people making caricature, some certainly did.
The difference is that some take it well and adapt to this French humor, and some don’t. (I don’t mean this as an issue with Islam, it’s an issue with extremistd that would behead a teacher).
I personnaly dislike this humor and art style, but it should exist.
Btw, hebdo in Charlie hebdo means every week, since 1970, so they had to time to offend everyone.
This is a thing in France, we have caricatures for everything. Muhammed isn’t an exception, and shouldn’t be. It’s not islamophobia. This was a freedom of expression class too, it should be talking about controversial topics.
Parasocial relationships works both ways. Of course you have exceptions and it depend on the individual, but they usually like each others.

I didn’t know it used to be on native, maybe I will try finding it so I can save some space
