Terraria’s mining and crafting are both more involved and complex than Minecraft’s, and represent a greater part of the game.
Minecraft isn’t so much about mining or crafting, but about having your own world with total freedom, which the title “Terraria” evokes more.
Maybe anymore Minecraft is different, but when it started it was about mining and crafting tools to mine more efficiently.
Terraria always evokes terrarium to me, which makes it feel like a whole little world, but also felt like it was more contained to me (from title alone).
Ngl I honestly prefer terraria over minecraft. You still get a nice feeling of exploration and can build really cool structures, while having a more concrete overall goal
Unless you start counting servers and mods (which I would argue is unfair), terraria gives you a more complete and fulfilling journey
I like both games, but my playtime says I prefer Minecraft 😆 I think I like it because it’s kinda boring.
Terraria is a lot of fun, yes, but I don’t feel like I can simply exist in that world, I have to play there. Whereas in Minecraft I can more easily just chill, get kinda bored, just walk around looking at stuff and think…
I like how tranquil and slow Minecraft can be. It doesn’t feel like a game so much as an other world I have access to. I like that it leaves me alone with my thoughts.
Check out Vintage Story! It’s a nice blend of the two, and has a modding API already, unlike MC.
Terraria but 3d would make me a very happy person.
