    If they stay in formation you can always force a sacrifice. The pawns will always capture at least one piece.

      Yeah, but you can kill off like three elites towards one side and you’ll have open access to get behind the pawns with a queen or rook and just lay waste unchecked.

        Yeah, that’s what the first comment above was saying. The one I responded to was wondering if a sacrifice is necessary, and I’m pretty sure it 100% is. It’s still trivial to win, but you do need to lose a piece.

            Yeah, there are ways it could be done, but only if the other player makes a horrible mistake. You wouldn’t leave an opening like that where the queen can move. Maybe with queens, bishops, and knights combined you could force an opening. I don’t know. It seems unlikely though. I guess a key exploit would be that they have to always move forward, but you can stall forever. Maybe that allows you to exploit a gap.
