Right? Even before he was in Congress he was a comedian. If I recall correctly, during a live performance for troops, I think, he pretended to grope a female wearing a flak vest. It was all in jest with everyone laughing about it on the video. The female victim didn’t even think it was a big deal, if I recall, and didn’t think he should have any punishment for it. It was so disheartening to watch it all play out.
The right is fine using cancel culture to force a Democrat to resign, but Republicans literally lie, cheat, steal, and harass and there’s nothing but crickets from them.
I believe the primary instigator calling for Franken’s resignation was actually Kirsten Gillibrand who did so to try and elevate her national profile when vying for the democratic presidential nomination
This is a huge difference between Republican and Democrat voters. One side protects their own, and the other wants people to answer for their crimes.
When Republicans commit rape, nothing happens to them.
When Al Fraken made unwanted advances and ended it there, he resigned in disgrace.
Democratic voters care, Democratic politicians do not give a shit at all and would gladly throw the voters under the bus.
This isn’t even what happened. Man that was such bullshit.

Unfortunately, honor has no place in politics. Once you require honor to keep things working, the dishonorable ones will always win.
Checks and balances was supposed to keep this crap in check, but it’s based on… honor.
Maybe we can give Dante Basco a gun and have him hold them in check. One of his more famous roles had him saying honor a lot.
LOL, don’t worry, I hardly ever mention it in normal life. Moderation through extreme waffling.
BTW thanks for adding in the reference, i probably would not have know of his or his ramous role issue. Cheers!
