– So, I had an idea: why not unite in small groups of interests to share knowledge and support each other in these difficult times? Of course, you can pass by and continue to waste time on memes and other things like discussions and to prove your point, but…

Let us all try to unite in circles of interest and exchange useful knowledge and information instead of wasting our energy in vain, before it is too late, so as not to fall into depression and impotence, but to maintain fighting spirit, because our war is a spiritual war, isn’t it?

Or do you want to continue to pick fights in the comments and then run out of steam, after which you will most likely take the easy way out and fit into the herd, living in the comfortable illusion that everything will be fine when tomorrow for example – you are led to the firing squad with a smile and respect?

– By the way, here are my thoughts - In the end, yes, AI is being improved and implemented in order to gain even more power by replacing politicians and others with AI in order to have even more resources and power taken away from dismissed influential people - after all, power is needed for the sake of power itself, there is nothing higher than power, right? In the end, this will end with power concentrated in the hands of an even smaller minority at the level of the richest people in the world. Well, the rest of the people will live in poverty in a dystopia and of course Big Brother will be watching us, or rather he is already doing so.

Well, yes, I initially moved here from Reddit in the hope that I would find a second home here, but when I saw that this place was turning into a second Reddit, I started to panic and become paranoid, as you can see from the post. Also, I’m not particularly smart, but I don’t care. Yes, I’m not always right and sometimes I do stupid things, but at least I’m not afraid to speak out, and the only way to shut me up is to ban me.

So my take on all this ‘controversial’ rubbish of people pushing back at you because they didn’t like your tone or whatever is to start building stuff and investing or sowing into whatever communities where you can.

Doesn’t need to be perfect - write/say/act it now and start moving forward. You may find you need to change things to stay ahead of AI or sidestep it entirely, but it’s easier to turn when you’re already moving. Getting started is hard, so start chipping away at it now

Don’t freak out about it “becoming like reddit”. It’s designed like reddit! It’s inevitable that it will look like Reddit in many ways, and inheret many of its social norms too, unfortunately. The good thing is, if any instance seems to particularly suck, you’re not stuck with “lemmy” as the only option. You can find other servers that don’t federate with the trashy instances, or focus on things closer to your hobbies or those niche communities you want to see more of. You’re not stuck with one single “lemmy” like with reddit.

Just be the change you want to see: Want to see more niche communities? Make some well meaning posts in some, even if they appear dead. See a lot of a-holes? Don’t let them spoil your mood and continue to post/reply nice things. If you’re easy to troll, just block the agitators that want to poke your buttons instead of angrily replying.
