        [I get that.] I turned auto correct off years ago and cant be bothered to hit shift most of the time. Besides, im not calling anyone stupid.

            Idk. Imo, the spelling of words matters much more than punctuation and capitalization. “Your” and “you’re” have wildly different meanings. If i understand the marriam-webster definition of prescriptivism correctly, it pertains more to the spelling and cultural understanding of the word. Perscriptivism would be saying that what they said was blatantly wrong; which i didnt do. But calling someone stupid while mispelling the main subject of the sentence is pretty ironic and happens a lot.

            [For instance: M-W uses the words irregardless and regardless for their example. For this specific scenario, i would say ur is better than your]

            But i can just take my stupid elsewhere i suppose (get it? Lol)
