You don’t try to mess with them if you aren’t also scared of them. If you’re confident it’ll be fine, you let it play out without interference.
He can both be scared shitless and try to fuck with them. Those are not mutually exclusive.
In fact I’d say that’s the most likely because they definitely messed with the elections last time, and I think I was a lot closer than it was supposed to be based on the responses at the time. I think even with their fuckery, the negativity across the board to things like Israel, Iran, ICE, etc. are much more strong than they thought they would be dealing with. Especially with the recent Dem wins in special elections and the strength of outside candidates in primaries.
