So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

A water shortage! At least of a kind. I did some heavy yard work today and desperately wanted to use a neti pot after, but I needed to get some distilled water and there wasn’t any to buy. (Yes, I know I can make it at home, but I wanted cereal and milk anyway and as long as I was at the store, why not just pick it up.)

A lot of the current problems surrounding the 2023 distilled water shortage have to do with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The pandemic caused a lot of problems but it’s become a convenient bogeyman. I find it easier to believe our ongoing supply chain crisis is now a systemic dysfunction than an interruption.

The cereal sucked too, by the way. The box was literally half empty when opened, and I didn’t know a completely fresh bowl of cereal could be so… flaccid? It was just gross, immediately gross, like it had been sitting out for 10 minutes instead of 10 seconds.
