I’ve never heard anyone attribute this to Einstein, and I’ve only heard “Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results…” which is NOT the definition of insanity at all.
So, I’m curious if this is something you’ve actually heard and you realized it was misattributed and butchered, or if you just butchered it and threw a famous name at the end and wanted to share.
I thought OP’s point was that the well-known quote implies OP’s version (both versions obviously not being true).

I heard it here and thought it was funny.
If you Google what you wrote, “doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is the definition of insanity,” you will see that it is indeed attributed to Einstein although I doubt he really said that, but how am I to know, I wasn’t there.
