In what way? I am Canadian, so this question is very odd.
Yes, he’s a nepotism baby, his father was PM in the 70s.
But he’s the leader of a center left party. He has been in power a long time, but in a minority government. He dropped his promise to change election laws and lead the government to legalize weed. He should have been a lot better on the environment but also wasn’t (blatantly) hostile to environmental causes.
He was caught doing black face in the past and his government was too nice in bed with SNC Lavalin and should not have helped them by interfering with the justice system . But again, he didn’t deny it.
Heck, we had truckers convoy across the country with swastikas and occupy our capital to try and oust him. So our version of Jan 6th was anti Trudeau, versus being lead (or spurned on) by Trump.
So its not a 1 to 1 to Trump. He’s closer to Clinton in that he’s a slimy politician who does some good things but clings too hard to the status quo and has some skeletons in the closet.
I wouldn’t describe the liberals as centre left. The NDP just broke off their coalition with them because they were doing way too much for corporate interests. That is a centre right thing at best.
If Bernier were to disappear tomorrow I can tell you where 100% of his votes will be going and it sure as shit won’t be JT or JS so for all intents and purposes PP is a polished turd version of Trump.
Not at all. The closest thing we have to Trump is Maxime Bernier (the leader of the People’s Party of Canada, a fringe alt-right party that has minimal support), or we have Pierre Polievre who leads the Conservative Party of Canada, but is nowhere near as far right as Trump. Justin Trudeau is the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and tends to take extremely centrist positions on everything. People dislike Trudeau for numerous reasons. He lied about electoral reform which was one of his key promises during his initial campaigning a decade ago, Conservatives hate him because he was young enough when he was first elected to be called “fuckable” by Buzzfeed and he spent time speaking to young people and taking photos with them instead of doing what Conservatives believe to be “respectable behavior”, he’s been implicated directly in some very boring corruption scandals, and his government has openly engaged in an immigration scam to artificially inflate Canadian housing property values because most people in our government have investment properties.
Trudeau legalized weed, medically assisted suicide, and during the pandemic gave people cheques for 2,000 dollars if they needed it, no questions asked.
I have issue with him no not following through on election reform and not giving the first nations the attention they deserve, but he’s done more to personally improve my life than any other prime minister has.
So do you just not understand government functions and don’t pay attention to the news, or is there an actual policy of Trudeau’s government that you hold responsible for high housing?
Or crush the air traffic controller’s union after secretly undermining a hostage crisis and selling weapons to a country illegally to fund war crimes in south america? We all long for those simpler days.
Isn’t Justin Trudeau a Canada’s Trump? Who the fuck cares what he says?
Also fuck Carlson

Ahhh, thanks mate. Didn’t have neither time nor passion to look into Canada’s politics, and now I know a little bit more. Thanks
He was “too nice” to SNC? That… That is not even a remotely accurate euphemism.
Like, Trudeau isn’t Trump. Not even close. Not even directionally similar. But that’s not at all a reasonable way to describe the scandal.
Fair, let me update it, you are correct. Early morning brain didn’t verb correctly.
Vigorous fellating, maybe?

You are thinking of Pierre Poilievre maybe.
I’d say Poilievre is a 80% match, Maxime Bernier is 95%
If Bernier were to disappear tomorrow I can tell you where 100% of his votes will be going and it sure as shit won’t be JT or JS so for all intents and purposes PP is a polished turd version of Trump.
I just cannot let myself believe that people are this out of touch. You’re kidding, right?
It’s hilarious that in 2024 people still are failing to check themselves before wrecking themselves
Reprogram your bot, bro… It’s stupid.

Last one I actually heard about. Ok, got it: he’s a left-flirting centrist, who’s criticized by executing too liberal reforms and can’t keep his word.
So… does this make him a Canadian Macron?
No? He’s closer to Canada’s Obama.
Eh… Trudeau might charitably be called Canada’s Bill Clinton. Obama was pretty centrist but still to the left of Trudeau.
… Also… Obama was popular.
Trudeau legalized weed, medically assisted suicide, and during the pandemic gave people cheques for 2,000 dollars if they needed it, no questions asked.

Other than his government making it impossible for you statistically to ever afford a home.
Zoning and building homes is municipal and provincial. Trudeau offered Doug Ford 6 billion for housing and Doug rejected it.

He’s Canada’s George Bush Jr.
I yearn for the simpler days when the worst thing a Republican president might do is tamper with Medicare.
