QoS is a thing, so it depends.
Crypto never will be anything, that’s the point I’m making.
AI is a tool, a good one. It can’t take your job anymore than the cotton gin took the job of textile workers, but the professional can make plenty of use to help shorten their workdays with it. As it gets integrated into private companies data environments you’ll see more in house models trained on company data that will assist cloud engineers and data engineers in getting things straightened out.
Crypto is a invented currency that was only good for buying drugs and NFT’s are literally a scam.
The second one, you’ll only be able to update Adobe on your old MacOS up to a certain version and then if you want anything further you have to update the OS to achieve the new range of supported versions. Unfortunately in a corporate environment you have a lot of moving parts and you can’t just always update everything even if it’s new enough to support it. Since projects and their constituent dependencies won’t always be compatible.
AI isn’t anything like NFTs and Bitcoin, it has an actual use case and is being leveraged by a significant number of white collar workers to automate small tasks and take the sifting out of search engines.
Not to mention most of the commenters just hate on the technology too, every article about any type of transportation that isn’t trains people just shit on it in the comments. “How is this gonna save the planet?” “Why does this need to exist?”
Hating technology should be its own community.
Amen.
Try and keep it out of the bay this time when you come back, guys.
Holy crap that’s a long lived laptop.
Interesting, so the first link claims that the THC molecule is the single factor that causes the plaque buildup, however they failed to delineate between edible cannabis consumption and inhaled cannabis consumption so it’s difficult for them to draw that conclusion.
It’s especially weird when you read the third link and it claims that unmodified (read: No THC) zero-cannabinoid marijuana caused the same issues. It seems like the conclusions drawn by two separate studies are contradictory and it seems as if the smoke itself has more to do with plaque buildup than the molecule.
All in all, the studies don’t account for lifestyle and only establish a control based on genetics, sex, and age. Habitual cannabis users having a higher risk of heart disease could be because the stereotypical stoner is also a sedentary individual with abysmal diet. None of which was controlled for based on the study itself. In fact one of the links (can’t recall which) claimed that when lab rats were fed a high fat diet and were bred specifically for higher cholesterol, they showed symptoms of arterial hardening at much higher rates, implying that while cannabis might have an effect, the contextual diet and lifestyle are most likely still the largest factor here.
As for the last link about stroke, the study just found that people who have had multiple strokes have a higher number of cannabis users per capita than the control group. Great, absolutely zero links to the lifestyle of people who have had a stroke that could possibly also be a factor here.
I’d look more into who’s lobbying these studies to know what the truth is, there are a lot of interests with money who hate cannabis. Everyone from Jack Daniels whiskey to Opiod manufacturers want cannabis to go down as if threatens their corner of the market.
Lol “I have no knowledge of this but it’s definitely a management problem.”
Thanks, but it’s not. Adobe can’t be updated past a certain point unless you update the OS. Can’t do that cause the machine is too old? Better buy a new one. The point of being “too old” is much much younger than Windows PC hardware.
Windows is easy, just update it. Still on Windows 10? No problem. Still supported. The updates are also free lol for whatever that matters.
Ohhhh the vertical menu, I forgot that even existed. They took that out? Lame.
What? No. lol
Apple updates constantly break whether or not an application can be updated and remain compatible. It’s literally the biggest headache we have when dealing with Apple in an enterprise environment. This version of Adobe CC only works on MacOS Big Sur but the other department is still on High Sierra and this remote site is fully on Monterey. None of their projects are cross compatible because they’re all on different versions of Adobe which aren’t compatible with their OS versions.
User interface? Sure. Though W11 can look exactly like 10 if you want. I don’t really care about changes in aesthetic though.
I doubt chiro is going to help much more, then.
Rufus is the shit, love Rufus.
Longer than apple will ever support an OS you can be damn sure about that.
Ya know… Morons!
I’m using W11 right now with my start menu on the left side…
You can change the start menu position back to W10 as well lol
Not liking the art style makes sense, it’s the same “kidney bean for a head” style that’s been taught at all animation schools for the last half decade now and it’s so overused that it just looks bad.
It’s the Rick and Morty style, essentially. Everyone’s copied it now.
