This is where he wants to be. He doesn’t have that power yet but there are still people who think this is all an act. Morons. This is who he wants to be. He isn’t killing people as we know yet but that’s the endgame. To become like Putin.

Really? People seriously still can’t recognize a distraction when they see one? He’s manufacturing outrage to keep you from paying attention to all of the things he doesn’t want you to see.

It’s a troll. And I am baffled by how easy it works.

He’s a toddler that can’t stay focused on anything long enough to give him credit for that level of thinking. Even his own advisers and staff have said as much when they can’t give him briefings more than a few minutes long or he gets bored, spends all his time posting online or watching TV. He’s not manufacturing anything, this is who he is. The press OTOH is perfectly happy to report on one stupidity and then abandon it for the rapidly arriving following ones.

The millions that will be losing insurance coverage is a big one. Wonder why it’s not as mainstream as it should be?

        It’s because -

I was explaining this to people when the courts first announced he could revoke birthright citizenship.

They’re not going after Anchor Babies. They apply to everyone. Birth certificates don’t have multiple types.

I made my dad go on a rant, when I said if we didn’t have birth right citizenship then Trump would be a fucking illegal alien. Because his grandfather was a FUCKING IMMIGRANT! I literally screamed the last part because sick of my dad railing against Mexicans and blaming them for everything. Even though he used to work illegals and even paid to gst some ship in illegally.

Thankfully I finally cut my dad off I’m done. Sucks that he gets to stay wealthy due to what the true rich done to this country. All that money and he still a toxic and unhappy person.

Man I hope your right. He pisses me off. He finally got what he wanted to be rich again. He making 80k a month and doesn’t have to work. But I can see just how miserable he is. He fucking rants and raves. He decided to cheat on his wife with a dumb bimbo, who he thinks loves him. But she only cares about his money. On the another hand he got what wanted with that. They are making so much money that the wife he hates won’t divorce him so he gets to eat his cake to. He always wanted to have a wife and a mistress (I don’t know why) shit goes back to when he cheated on my mom and divorced her to marry my ex step mom.

So he divorced my mom and married a woman 20 years his senior because she just inherited 2 million dollars. But at same time he still was sleeping with my mom. This went on for about 6 months, until my mom said he have to choose. Her or my step mom. His reply was “why can’t I have both.”

Yet all the money a wife and a girlfriend and he still miserable and takes it out on all of us. Calls us losers and thinks Trump is savimg our country. Fuck face got no clue how much Trump is hurting us all. All except him who brags how rich he is everyday until you ask for some then he broke. I hate my father and always have.

If it’s a legitimate threat, it’s not a distraction. It’s called “flooding the zone” and it’s intentional, but it’s mean to overwhelm us in general with the sheer amount of bullshit he spews.

But don’t make the mistake that this is a distraction. He’s opening a path to strip anyone he dislikes of citizenship and exile them to a foreign death camp. This is deadly serious and should not be ignored.

That gets thrown around all the time…

        https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/foreign-earned-income-exclusion

But the exception to it is pretty rational and covers most people.

It’s like how billionaires convince poor people that can’t afford to retire that a tax only 2% of people will ever pay on inheritance is a pressing issue and society doesn’t deserve their cut.of problematic levels of generational wealth.

Like, do you understand how ripe this is for manipulation by the wealthy to turn public opinion against the wealthiest few who pay these taxes?

        C’mon man…

It’s 2025, we need to learn to recognize this shit on our own, misinformation is going to keep getting worse.

        Quick edit:

For clarity, you do still need to file federal taxes every year, even though you have zero withholdings and still owe $0.

But people get in trouble for not filing, same as people who live in Alaska. There’s no debt for missed payments, but there may be fines/consequences anyways

There’s a ton of intricacies to it though, for example if you live in Canada you can’t invest in one of the two retirement accounts without paying some pretty hefty fees. Primary residence are only excluded for a relatively small amount (might be enough if you live in a small town, forget it if you live in a major metropolitan area past a small one bedroom condo), and the division with a partner isn’t 50/50 like it is in Canada so your Canadian partner potentially looses a ton of money. Increases the cost of accountants and personal finance advisors by like three folds. Etc, etc…

I get that trying to get rich people to not use tax heavens is good. But this affects regular people who haven’t lived in the country for years, decades, as well as their non American families.

I know this first hand, and second hand, as my immediate and extended family is all sort of cross border intertwined. It’s a real pain in the ass.

Do you know how much expats have to pay just to align their taxes and file? Only country to tax on citizenship. It’s ridiculous that it’s even allowed internationally.

            I do know…

What’s weird is you didn’t even click the link or even seem to read my comment:

If you are a U.S. citizen or a resident alien of the United States and you live abroad, you are taxed on your worldwide income. However, you may qualify to exclude your foreign earnings from income up to an amount that is adjusted annually for inflation ($107,600 for 2020, $108,700 for 2021, $112,000 for 2022, and $120,000 for 2023). In addition, you can exclude or deduct certain foreign housing amounts.

America has bigger problems than migrant workers in other countries who make well North of six figures.

You’re not getting any pity from the average American over “filing fees” when you can do that shit on TurboTax.

You still need to file… It’s complex as shit. It’s not an easy filing with turbo tax when you have a company, partners who are not dual citizens etc. I’m by no means rich but I shouldn’t have to file taxes where I’m not residing. And if I wanted to get rid of my citizenship it’s also expensive and you have to have filed for the past 7 years. It’s not about pity. It’s about what is ethical. And being the only country to do this it isn’t ethical.

What would someone do if their citizenship is revoked? Like if one suddenly finds themself in that situation what can they do other than run to the nearest embassy and beg for asylum? Presuming this is done before one is already in custody.

      Three options:

      1. Go to every embassy or consulate you can and try to get a visa
      2. Live illegally in another country
      3. End up in a concentration camp

For her specifically she’s trying to get EU /Irish citizenship through her mother’s citizenship (I think).

But yeah your question stands. I read a post a long time ago about taking citizenship away from terrorists and one guy posted that’s really not how it should work. I’m not as well versed as he was but it was basically: The Justice department deals with crimes and punishment, citizenship is just plain membership to a country. If you don’t have citizenship to any country it’s just like you don’t exist in paperwork terms. It doesn’t line up with what the justice system is supposed to do.

Of course Trump just wants to kick people out. So he’ll “negotiate” for random countries to take in people (even not their citizens) or he’ll slap tariffs on them. This is also what asylum is supposed to be for.

Absolutely nothing is stopping him. Certainly not the laws, the Constitution, or the Supreme Court. Lower courts are still ruling against him but getting overridden by SCOTUS.

The only left is we the people and that will take a huge number of us to work together.

Can we take away Trump’s citizenship?

If no country wants to have him, I’m OK with dumping him in international waters on a raft.
