It’s interesting you point that out. It seems it shows the grip of Reddit and Lemmy as well. Since I am not in the US I am not in touch with their regular news outlets and media. I’ve never seen the Dem shooter before. Somehow he wasn’t that talked about.
The right does a much better job of repeating a topic ad nauseum (doesn’t help that they also lie profusely). Which successfully creates the illusion that “both sides are equally bad”/“the left is worse”, e.g. see how many people know about every file on Hunter Bidens laptop vs what people know about Trump’s attempt to steal the 2020 election (fake electors scheme etc), or are even aware of project 2025…
