Honestly if I was stuck with one of these shitty resistive heater stoves I’d definitely do this for stuff like warming up pancakes. Less energy and time wasted on heating the pan.
This is not a resistive heat stove, but an induction stove. induction stoves are amazing.
No, this is just a glass top resistive stove.
You are right and I am embarrassed.
Induction cooktops are just a ruse by big cast iron to sell us skillets we don’t even need.
Shove a wire through a piece of bacon and watch that thing fry… in mid air even!
They doing great job with the propaganda, because I’ve bought 2 and love them.
Wow, that’s awful—my condolences.
Which ones, tho? I need to know what to stay away from. 👀I have one of the normal sized Lodge ones and one comically small one that turned out to be actually pretty great for one egg or one portion of anything.

No no… let him cook
Fight Big Pan!
Instructions unclear, all bones in hand now broken.
You don’t even need a stove if the weather is hot enough
yeah just live on the equator, it’s simple
Or just wait a few years
I hate that I laughed kind of hard at that. Oh well! Have an upvote.
Good luck with cleaning it, or even boiling water for pasta!
It’s easy to clean, just use water and wipe it clear. Never soap. If you put soap on it, you’ll ruin the coating and will have to re-season your stovetop again.
Cleaning away all the good taste?!
Sacrilège !
There’s a restaurant in France that’s been in the same family for 4 generations now, and they cook all meals in a stove just like this, with no pans.
Yhey’ve been accumulating the juices and flavours all this time, and while it takes a long time to cook a dish, the taste is absolutely unique.
Or so I’ve heard.
