I seem to recall someone asking Rodenberry why they hadn’t cured baldness in the future, and he said “in the future, nobody will care.” Except for Jack, it seems.

My take is that nobody will care if you are bald, but with all their tech you can have as much or as little hair as you want. It’s an aesthetic choice that’s entirely yours, and no matter what you pick it’s not going to really attract attention. I mean, who’s going to care about your hair when you live next to a temporally displaced Klingon veterinarian and work with a guy who once got to be Q for a day? And even that is just kind of normal?

Bev makes quick mention of already losing 1 son, though she fails to mention that he’s galavanting the universe and not dead.

You’d think he’d drop in and visit his mom on occasion considering he was happy to come back for Troi and Riker’s wedding.

He is. When talking about her protectiveness towards Jack Beverly explains it’s because she, “gave Wesley space and lost him to it.”

Its was awkward at my grandpas funeral when I accidentally smiled because I realized that I would have hair.
